WORKSHOP BRACHIALPLEXUS CADAVER WORKSHOP (FEB 2026)

The Brachial plexus cadaver workshop was conducted at JSS medical college Mysore on Feb 21st and feb 22nd,2026 under the Aegis of Brachial plexus surgery group of India(BPSGI), Karnataka orthopaedic association and Bangalore orthopaedic society in coordination with GHA by the course director Dr Bharath K Kadadi, secretary BPSGI. Other faculty were Dr Anil Bhatia from Pune, Dr Hari Vankataramani  from Ganga hospital, Coimbatore, Dr Piyush Doshi from Baroda, Dr Ashwath Acharya from KMC ,Manipal, Dr Jyoshid Balan from Thrissur and Dr Sandeep B from stanley Fiona hospital, Perth,Australia.

The event witnessed 35 dissectors and 25 observers guided by 7 faculty with national and international participation. KMC points were accredited. The meeting started on 21/02/26 with Basics on surgical anatomy of brachial plexus and video techniques on various procedures followed by faculty demo on cadavers and practice by particpants.

Inaugration and lamp lighting was at 1 pm by Dr Narayanappa , Principal and Dr Deepa Bhat,HOD anatomy,JSS medical college along with the faculty. CME on various talks on Brachial plexus management was from 5pm to 7.30 pm including recorded talk by Dr Sheufeng Wand from China. All Orthopaedic and Plastic surgeons of Mysore were invited for the CME and Dinner at the prestigiuos Sri Kanteerava Narasimharaja Mysore sports club.

The second day 22/02/2026 witnessed Cadaver dissections by Faculty and participants from 9 am to 1 pm followed by Valedictory and Distribution of certificates. The feedback given by all participants was excellent in terms of quality of cadavers, faculty talks and teaching.

All in All , the Brachial plexus cadaver workshop at Mysore was a splendid and unique teaching learning experience with memorable camaraderie and companionship.
