GENERAL BODY MEETING OF BRACHIAL PLEXUS SURGERY GROUP OF INDIA

General body meeting of brachial plexus surgery group of india was held on 31/03/2023 at 6.00 pmat Hotel Grand Mercure Surya Palace, Vadodara. 27 members attended the meeting. The meetingwas chaired by Dr R Srikanth, President, BPSGI; Dr Hari Venkatramani, Secretary, BPSGI; Dr G S Kalra,vice-president, BPSGI.

 

Dr Hari Venkatramani inducted the new members. He suggested that every member should get anopportunity to present his or her work in the meetings of BPSGI as per decided in EC meeting.

 

He invited all the members to publish their work in Journal Peripheral Nerve Surgery, Editor Dr Sumeet Bansal.

 

It was decided that any member of the group can organize the midterm CME.

 

Dr Girish Ambat manages the website of the group. He informed about the new membership, whichcan be done online. It was suggested that there should be a monthly case discussion on website andthere should be map of brachial plexus surgeon near you for the benefit of the public.

 

Dr Piyush Doshi informed that about 40 people registered as virtual delegates for the Brachialcon2023. He suggested that the content of the conference be available to all the members for two yearson Vidocto platform if some fees are paid to them. The final decision was not made.

 

Dr G Balakrishnan resigned from the post of the managing trustee of the BPSGI in absentia. The postwas awarded to Dr V Purushothaman as proposed by Dr G Balakrishnan on his email communication.

 

Dr Purushothaman presented the financial report of the BPSGI on behalf of Dr G Balakrishnan.

 

Dr Hari Venkatramani suggested to organize the Brachialcon on alternate years with ISPNSCON.

 

Two executive committee members, Dr Praveen Bhardwaj and Dr Bharath Kadadi completed theirterms of office. Dr Pradeep Kumar and Dr Amit Vyas were selected as new EC members for twoterms.

 

Dr Bharath Kadadi was selected for the post of secretary of BPSGI.

 

Vice president Dr G S Kalra took over the charge of new President from Dr R Srikanth.

 

Dr Rajendra Nehete was selected as new vice president.

 

The next meeting of BPSGI will be held by Dr Pradeep Kumar at Trichur.

 

Dr Veena Singh volunteered to organize the midterm CME.
